Are younger presidents better?
I think so. If you look at history, the 3 youngest presidents to take office were among the best.
Teddy Roosevelt (42 years old) – the first American to win the Nobel Peace prize. He was also the first US president to lobby for universal healthcare and national health insurance. He hated corruption and destroyed at least 40 monopolies that existed during his presidency.
John F. Kennedy (43 years old) – the only president to win a Pulitzer Prize. He successfully negotiated a peace deal with Nikita Khrushchev to avoid a nuclear war with the Soviets during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also pushed for a Nuclear Test Ban Treaty that prohibits atomic testing on the ground or under water. Had he not been assassinated, he would have pulled the troops out of Vietnam almost 9 years earlier.
Bill Clinton (46 years old) – during his presidency, Clinton reported a federal surplus of $559 billion. That’s almost as much as this new bailout is going to cost us. He was also responsible for signing the Family and Medical Leave Act that allowed employees to take unpaid leave for pregnancy or a serious medical condition without risking their jobs. The Clinton Administration also launched the first official White House website in 1994. Lastly, the economy grew by record levels under the Clinton Administration.
So, please vote for Senator Obama. He’s young and understands the modern world. McCain doesn’t even know how to check his email. That obviously doesn’t represent the future…….
